Prior to his involvement with Madsen O'Dea, Jack was a partner of a national law firm. He was admitted to legal practice in 1989 and has practiced since then in the areas of commercial law, banking and finance law, commercial litigation, debt recovery and insolvency law. His experience includes a five year period as in-house legal counsel for BankSA.

Jack's broad commercial law background enables him to provide solutions to a wide range of commercial and corporate legal problems and a significant amount of his practice involves acting for clients to resolve complex commercial and corporate disputes. A significant proportion of the work undertaken by Jack is referred to him by other law firms and barristers.
